Verticalo SE DAB retro turntable

le format est bien, c'est beau, ça fait bonne impression. J'ai apprécié de pouvoir appuyer longtemps sur pair pour réappairer le bluetooth, qui était resté branché sur un appareil du voisinage depuis tout ce temps.. Le son n'a pas trop de basses, ce qui est idéal pour une écoute sans déranger les voisins, meme un peu plus fort du coup. Les radio normal et dab fonctionnent bien, meme si le reglage de stations et la navigation en radio "normale" est perfectible. Le seul vrai bémol reste la fragilité de la sortie mini jack à l'arrière, et le fait que brancher sur un ampli et de plus grosses enceintes fait apparaitre les limites du diamant de la platine vynile. La platine est agréable à écouter avec les enceintes embarquées cependant.

The design is good, it's attractive, and it makes a good impression. I appreciated being able to press and hold the pair button to re-pair the Bluetooth, which had remained connected to a neighbor's device all this time. The sound doesn't have too much bass, which is ideal for listening without disturbing the neighbors, even at a slightly higher volume. Regular and DAB radio work well, although station tuning and navigation on regular radio could be improved. The only real drawback is the fragility of the mini-jack output on the back, and the fact that connecting it to an amplifier and larger speakers reveals the limitations of the turntable's stylus. However, the turntable is pleasant to listen to with the built-in speakers.

Mein Fazit!Der Tonarm, Tonabnehmer und Stylus (der Nadel) sollten meiner Meinung nach überarbeitet werden!Es ist sehr instabile am wirken und würde dem wunderbaren Produkt die Laune Verderben :-(

Grundsätzlich standen zwei Kaufgründe im Vordergrund: Ich wollte ein DAB+ -Radio, und ich wollte etwas Kompaktes für 12V-Versorgung, damit es auch im Camper betrieben werden kann. Beides war hier vorhanden, sowie zusätzlich die Möglichkeit, von USB oder Bluetooth wiedergeben zu können.Und als nettes Gimmick noch ein Plattenlaufwerk in senkrechter Bauweise, was ich ganz pfiffig fand. Also, für'n Hunderter sicher kein ganz grosses Risiko, irgendwas von den eingebauten Features wird schon funktionieren.Gut, fangen wir an. Zuerst der Plattenspieler. Okay, mehr als ein "Gimmick" ist es nicht. Der billige Plastik-Tonabnehmer läßt den Tonarm bei etwas kräftigeren Pressungen über die Platte hoppeln, als würde man mit dem Gerät Sackhüpfen machen. Die Tatsache, dass es an diesem Hobel offenbar keinerlei Antiskating-Vorrichtungen gibt und der senkrechte Aufbau irgendwie dazu führt, dass der Tonarm extrem zur Mitte zieht, macht diesen Umstand nicht besser.Okay, ehrlich gesagt, aus beruflichen Gründen kenne ich diese Billig-Plattenschrubber zu genüge und habe mir schon gedacht, dass es nicht besser wird, wenn man diese "Zumutung" nun senkrecht baut. Kurzum, meine edlen 180-Gramm-Ausgaben von Herrn Garbarek oder Herrn Morrison werden dort eh nie zum Einsatz kommen. Das würde definitiv den Tatbestand der Sachbeschädigung erfüllen.Die Stärke dieses Gerätes liegt ohnehin im Radio- und Verstärkerteil. Die Empfindlichkeit des UKW- und des DAB-Tuners ist befriedigend bis gut, dennoch werde ich einen vernünftigen Antennenanschluß nachrüsten und die Aussenantenne unseres Wohnwagens benutzen, wenn das Gerät dort fest integriert wird.Die Einstellmöglichkeiten für den Sendersuchlauf bzw. die Möglichkeiten, die Empfangsbereiche auch manuell durchzusuchen, ist in dieser Geräteklasse wohl einzigartig, genauso, wie die Anzeigemöglichkeit von Signalstärke und -qualität, die man an den meisten vergleichbaren Geräten vergeblich sucht. So kann man die Antenne jeweils optimal ausrichten.Die Bluetooth-Anbindung klappte problemlos, die Klangqualität ist so, naja, halbwegs okay. Einstellmöglichkeiten für den Ton gibt es nicht, lediglich einen Lautstärkeknopf, sowie einige nützliche Timerfunktionen.Achja, der Klang des Plattenspielers ist dem einfachen Kristallsystem entsprechend reich an Höhen und bettelarm an Bässen.Noch Wissenswertes:Eine Fernbedienung gibt es nicht, bei Wegfall der Stromversorgung verschwinden auch sämtliche Speicherungen.Falls es so aussieht, als wäre das Gerät irgendwie über eine App steuerbar, nein, Fehlanzeige. Das abgebildete Smartphone und die Bluetooth-Möglichkeiten, die in der Beschreibung erwähnt sind, beziehen sich lediglich auf die Musikübertragung. Steuern kann man da gar nix.Falls doch reichlich Platten gedudult werden sollen, gute Nachricht: Ersatznadeln gibt es hier im Versand im 6er-Pack für unter 20 Euro. Sie sollten auch regelmässig getauscht werden, denn wie bei allen Saphirabtastern gilt: nach 100 bis 150 Plattenseiten ist das Ding hin, bei dem mörderischen Auflagedruck dieses "Hightech"-Spielers wahrscheinlich noch früher.Alles in allem, siehe oben,eben ein "Nettes Musikspielzeug".

Basically, there were two main reasons for buying this: I wanted a DAB+ radio, and I wanted something compact that ran on 12V power so I could use it in my camper. This device had both of those features, plus the added option of playing music from USB or Bluetooth. And as a nice bonus, it also had a vertical turntable, which I thought was quite clever. So, for a hundred bucks, it wasn't a huge risk; surely one of the built-in features would work. Okay, let's get started. First, the turntable. Okay, it's really just a "gimmick." The cheap plastic cartridge makes the tonearm jump across the record with slightly heavier pressings, like you're playing sack races with the thing. The fact that this turntable apparently lacks any anti-skating mechanism and that its vertical design somehow causes the tonearm to pull extremely towards the center doesn't improve matters. Okay, to be honest, I'm quite familiar with these cheap record players from a professional standpoint and already suspected that making this monstrosity vertical wouldn't improve things. In short, my precious 180-gram records from Mr. Garbarek or Mr. Morrison will never see the light of day on it anyway. That would definitely constitute vandalism. The strength of this device lies in its radio and amplifier sections. The sensitivity of the FM and DAB tuners is satisfactory to good; nevertheless, I will retrofit a proper antenna connection and use our caravan's external antenna once the unit is permanently installed there. The settings for the automatic station search and the ability to manually scan reception areas are probably unique in this class of device, as is the signal strength and quality display, which is missing on most comparable devices. This allows for optimal antenna alignment. Bluetooth connectivity worked flawlessly, and the sound quality is, well, passable. There are no tone controls, just a volume knob and some useful timer functions. Oh yes, the turntable's sound, as expected from a simple crystal cartridge, is rich in treble and woefully lacking in bass. Other things to know: There is no remote control, and all saved settings are lost when the power is cut. And if it looks like the device can be controlled via an app, no, it can't. The smartphone shown and the Bluetooth capabilities mentioned in the description only apply to music streaming. You can't control anything with them. If you plan on playing a lot of records, good news: replacement styli are available here online in packs of six for under €20. They should be replaced regularly, because, as with all sapphire cartridges, they'll wear out after 100 to 150 record sides, and probably even sooner given the murderous tracking force of this "high-tech" player. All in all, as mentioned above, it's just a "nice musical toy".

Das Produkt ist optisch sehr schön und gut verarbeitet.Die Nadel hat eine eigene kleine Kappe, so dass sie nicht Staub ansammelt, wenn das Gerät mal länger nicht genutzt wird.Die Schallplatte wird durch einen Magneten in der Mitte stabilisiert, was sehr praktisch ist.Insgesamt ein schönes Produkt und der Klang auch gut, soweit man es für den Preis erwarten würde.

The product is visually very appealing and well-made. The needle has its own small cap, preventing dust accumulation when the device isn't used for extended periods. The record is stabilized by a magnet in the center, which is very practical. Overall, it's a nice product, and the sound is good, as one would expect for the price.
