Vprweg: Ich bin ein Hörspielfan und Sammler, ich habe einen guten Lenco-Plattenspieler mittlerer Preisklasse und suchte einen unkomplizierten zweiten Plattenspieler mit Lautsprecher, auf den man "mal eben" eine Platte abspielen und alte Schätze digitalisieren kann. Lange habe ich mich informiert und Angebote verglichen, der Jerry Lee bestach dabei durch kompakte Maße (passt geschlossen in ein halbes IKEA Regal) und die wertig anmutende Nostalgie-Optik.Für nicht mal 60 Euro habe ich natürlich keine tolle Qualität erwartet und war durchaus skeptisch: allein die Kofferoptik wirkt hochwertig, was aber auch bedeutet, dass hier Produktionskosten hineingehen, die dann vermutlich bei den akustisch relevanten Komponenten fehlen dürften. Aber nein: wenngleich Tonarm und Plastikoberfläche durchaus billig aussehen, so überrascht der durchweg gute Klang. Zum Aufnehmen (Digitalisieren) verwende ich nicht die mitgelieferte Audacity Software, sondern das ebenfalls kostenlose Apowersoft-Audiorecorder (EXTREM empfehlenswert!). Diese simple Software nimmt wahlweise alles auf, was das PC-System ausgibt oder "Nur Mikrofon" (was dann dem per USB verbundenen Plattenspieler entspricht). Der Vorteil: während man digitalisiert, kann man den PC ganz normal nutzen, da der PC Sound nicht aufgenommen wird.Und nun kommen wir (endlich) zu der 5 (ja: FÜNF!) Sterne-Wertung: während mein Mittelklasse Plattenspieler alte Flohmarktplatten knisternd und knackend abspielt, wirkt der Sound des Jerry Lee vergleichsweise sauber. Vermutlich passt die simple Technik besser zu alten, unsauberen und zerkratzten Platten (?). Die Aufnahmequalität ist absolut großartig. Ich habe uralte Kinderplatten von 1967 (!), die ich kindgemäß ziemlich brutal behandelt habe, digitalisiert - die Qualität ist im positiven Sinne "akzeptabel". Natürlich hört man etwas knistern und knacken, aber das liegt am schlechten Zustand der Platten. Legt man eine gut gepflegte Platte aus den späten 70ern auf, so ist die Wiedergabe praktisch Knisterfrei (!).Obwohl eine Gewichts- und Skating-Einstellung fehlt, kommt der Plattenspieler selbst bei extrem stark verzogenen Platten nicht aus der Ruhe: der Tonarm schwenkt und schwingt wild hoch und runter, aber spielt absolut sauber.Ich bin überzeugt, wenn man in diesen Plattenspieler eine Salami einlegt, spielt er den Fettgehalt ab.Klanglich mögen die Puristen die Nase rümpfen über so einen Billig-Spieler. Wer einfach nur einen absolut unkomplizierten und zuverlässigen Allroundplayer für nebenbei und zum Digitalisieren kann und auf Retro-Optik steht, der sollte nicht länger überlegen, sondern zugreifen.

Background: I'm an audio drama enthusiast and collector. I own a good mid-range Lenco turntable and was looking for a simple second turntable with a built-in speaker, something I could use to quickly play a record and digitize old treasures. I spent a lot of time researching and comparing offers, and the Jerry Lee impressed me with its compact size (it fits in half an IKEA shelf when closed) and its high-quality, nostalgic look. For less than 60 euros, I naturally didn't expect top-notch quality and was quite skeptical: the suitcase-style design alone gives it a premium feel, which also implies that production costs are being invested there, costs that would then presumably be lacking in the acoustically relevant components. But no: although the tonearm and plastic surface do look rather cheap, the consistently good sound is a pleasant surprise. For recording (digitizing), I don't use the included Audacity software, but rather the equally free Apowersoft Audio Recorder (HIGHLY recommended!). This simple software can optionally record everything the PC system outputs or "Microphone Only" (which corresponds to a turntable connected via USB). The advantage: you can use the PC normally while digitizing, as the PC sound is not recorded. And now we come (finally) to the 5 (yes: FIVE!) star rating: while my mid-range turntable plays old flea market records with crackling and popping, the Jerry Lee's sound is comparatively clean. Presumably, the simple technology is better suited to old, dirty, and scratched records (?). The recording quality is absolutely fantastic. I digitized ancient children's records from 1967 (!), which I treated rather roughly, as a child would – the quality is "acceptable" in a positive sense. Of course, you can hear some crackling and popping, but that's due to the poor condition of the records. If you put on a well-maintained record from the late 70s, the playback is practically crackle-free (!). Although it lacks weight and anti-skating adjustments, the turntable remains perfectly stable even with extremely warped records: the tonearm swings and bounces wildly up and down, but plays absolutely cleanly. I'm convinced that if you put a salami in this turntable, it would play the fat content. Purists might turn up their noses at such an inexpensive player. But if you simply want an absolutely uncomplicated and reliable all-rounder for occasional use and digitization, and you appreciate retro aesthetics, then you shouldn't hesitate any longer—just buy it.

J'ai acheté ce produit pour l'offrir à une personne qui possède une ancienne collection de vinyle qui n'étaient plus écoutés faute d'avoir une platine pour les lire. Au final je suis ravi de mon achat. L'appareil en lui même à un look très sympa style vintage. Il est solide et très bien fini. Il peut lire des vinyles de 33, 45 et 75 tours. Le son produit est de bonne facture et on peut monter le volume assez haut sans entendre de saturation. A noter qu'il est possible de brancher des haut-parleurs plus puissants via des sorties dédiées sur l'appareil. Idéal pour branchement sur amplificateur. Enfin, il est également possible de relier la platine à un ordinateur via l’adaptateur USB fourni avec. Vous pourrez alors enregistrer vos anciens vinyles directement sur votre PC (utile pour de vieux albums qui ne se trouvent plus). Pour résumé, cet appareil est de très bonne qualité, fait très bien le travail demandé et à un rapport qualité-prix très bon. Pour les fans de vinyle ne souhaitant pas se ruiner avec une platine haut de gamme!

Das Design ist praktisch und schick zu gleich,... der Plattenspieler ist quasi als Koffer verkleidet und hat zwei praktische Verschlüsse sowie einen Henkel - so dass er überall mit hingenommen werden kann. Die Verarbeitung ist dabei sehr gut und der Retro-Look ist hervorragend getroffen.Das Gerät hat eine Abmessung von ca. 35,5 x 11,5 x 27,5 cm (BxHxT) und wiegt ca. 2,5 kg.Die Handhabung ist kinderleicht. Es können drei verschiedene Schallplattengrößen ( 7" (17,5 cm), 10" (25cm), 12" (30cm) ) abgespielt werden.Im Koffergehäuse sind zwei Stereolautsprecher verbaut, so dass keine zusätzlichen Lautsprecher benötigt werden.Trotzdem bietet das Gerät, zusätzlich, einen Cinch-Ausgang für das Anschließen von externen Lautsprechern....Die Tonqualität ist überraschend gut - wir hätten nicht gedacht, dass der Klang so klar und deutlich ist - selbst von einer alten Schallplatte... Lo compre para regalárselo a mi suegra y que pudiera volver a escuchar sus discos de 33 y 45 y no he podido quedar más satisfecha. El diseño es súper bonito, bien acabado, elegante y parece ser de buena calidad. Para empezarlo a usar basta con conectar un cable a la corriente, mover el botón de volumen para encenderlo y se enciende el piloto rojo, poner el disco, desbloquear la aguja, subirla con una palanquita, ponerla manualmente al borde del disco y ponerse cómodo para disfrutar. El volumen de los altavoces si es para escuchar en casa en la habitacion donde esta el reproductor llega de sobras. Sin duda muy recomendable porque queda elegante y va genial y además gracias a su formato es de fácil transporte.

I bought this as a gift for my mother-in-law so she could listen to her 33 and 45 rpm records again, and I couldn't be happier. The design is beautiful, well-finished, elegant, and seems to be of good quality. To start using it, simply plug in a power cord, turn the volume knob to power it on (the red light will illuminate), insert a record, unlock the needle, raise it with the lever, manually position it at the edge of the record, and get comfortable to enjoy. The speaker volume is more than enough if you're listening at home in the room where the player is located. I definitely recommend it because it looks elegant, works perfectly, and its compact size makes it easy to transport.
