Nachdem ich seit Oktober wieder im Homeoffice hocke (dieses Jahr ist einfach nur mehr zum Schmeissen), und im Wohnzimmer auf dem Esstisch sowi Esstischsessel zu laborieren echt keine Dauerlösung ist (das geht nämlich echt ins Kreuz), hab ich nun seit Kurzem ein eigenes Zimmer mit (fast) allem, was man fürs anständige Arbeiten braucht,Zu meinem vollständigen Homeoffice Glück fehlte nur mehr die passende akkustische Untermalung - also musste ein entsprechendes Gerät ins Haus.Gefühlt 1 Woche hab ich nach dem passenden Gerät gesucht, dass ja schon fast eine eierlegende Wollmilchsau sein musste, denn meine Ansprüche sind schon recht hoch: Der Sound und Radioempfang müssen passen, Bluetooth, USB Anschluss, CD, Internetradio und im besten Fall ein SD Slot hättens sein sollen - optisch sollte das Gerät auch was her machen und aber nicht zu viel Platz einnehmen, zu viel kosten oder gar eine zu lange Lieferzeit haben - wenn man sich mal entschieden hat, dann will man das Teil ja am Besten gestern sein Eigen nennen.Mit der auna Harvard IR Anlage wars eher Liebe auf den 2. Blick - davor hatte ich ein anderes Gerät bestellt, dass aber leider nicht das gelbe vom Ei war - somit ging die Suche vom Neuen los und ich entschied mich dann für dieses Soundwunder.Seit 1 Woche erfreue ich mich an der auna Anlage - sie spielt wirklich alle Stückchen.Das Design bw. die Optik ist in Echt wesentlich hübscher als auf den Bildern anzusehen, von der Größe her passt sie perfekt auf mein Fensterbrett - äußerst vorteilhaft, dass der USB Steckplatz auf der Vorderseite platziert ist!Der Funktionsumfang spielt wirklich alle Stückchen, fast alle meine Anforderungen wurden erfüllt - abgesehen vom SD Kartenslot - aber auf den kann ich getrost verzichten ;)Die Einrichtung des Geräts geht recht fix, mittels WPS Button mit dem Wlan verbunden und zack kann man schon auf abertausende von Internetsendern zugreifen. Wer sich seine Favorites hinterlegen möchte und nicht einzeln jeden Sender mit der Fernbedienung durchzappen möchte, der hat die Möglichkeit mittels einer eigenen Webseite sein Gerät zu registrieren und kann dort via PC easy-cheesy die Sender durchsehen und als Favoriten markieren - dies wird auch prompt auf das Gerät übertragen -> gefällt mir :)Der Sound ist eine Wucht! Schon bei geringer Lautstärke fetzt es einem vom Bürosessel, dass die Tür ned zugeht - die Bässe sind satt, die Töne klar - mittels Equalizer kann man den Sound seinen individuellen Bedürfnissen anpassen. Einzig die X-Bass Funktion ist etwas enttäuschend - dadurch wird die Tonausgabe dumpfer und hat weniger Bass als wenn die Funktion ausgeschaltet bleibt - dürft wohl ein Bug sein.FM Empfang ist bei mir eher schlecht als recht - liegt aber wohl an der Bauweise meiner Hütte und weniger an dem Gerät - aber via Internetradio kann ich ohnehin alle meine Lieblingssender empfangen.Bluetooth funktioniert auch einwandfrei - der Ton bei Verwendung meines Smartphones ist etwas weniger beeindruckend, als bei den anderen Medienoptionen - zumindestens was die auf meinem Gerät gespeicherten Tracks angeht - streamt man youtube, schaut das Ganze schon wieder ganz anders aus.Auch eignet sich die Harvard Anlage perfekt als Ausgabegerät für den PC/ Laptop via Bluetooth - z.B.: bei Teams Meetings und ähnlichem Gedöns - vor allem wenn die Boxen vom Laptop so schwach sind, dass man selbst bei 100% Lautstärke das Gegenüber im virtuellen Meeting nicht versteht, ist das wirklich hilfeich.CD abspielen tut sie auch brav - leider merkt sie sich wohl nicht im Standby, bei welchem Track man zuletzt pausiert hat.USB: auch das funktioniert, allerdings werden nicht alle Titel auf meinem grandiosen 90er Stick abgespielt (im Auto, und bei meinem Gerät im Büro ist das kein Problem) - das ist schade - ich hoff, das lässt sich beheben.Warum ich 1 Stern Abzug gebe?Nun ja, neben der oben erwähnten kleineren Problemchen bei der CD und USB Wiedergabe und der komischen X-Bass Funktion, ist die die Fernbedienung leider nicht so der Hammer - man muss schon sehr fest drücken um eine Reaktion zu erzielen, dass switchen zwischen den einzelnen Sendern ist sehr mühsam - ein schnelleres durchscrollen der Sender per gedrückt halten der entsprechenden Taste, ist nicht möglich.Auch ist die beigelegte Bedienungsanleitung (unterscheidet sich nicht von der Onlineversion) etwas seltsam aufgebaut - viele Funktionen und Eigenschaften sind schlichtweg nicht erklärt und aber leider nicht selbsterklärend :( So habe ich null Plan, wie ich den "Energiesparmodus" abschalten kann - pausiert man nämlich eine gewisse zeitlang (ca. 15 Minuten) bei CD/USB Wiedergabe, schaltet sich das Gerät einfach mal ins Standby.Theoretisch sollte es möglich sein, Softwareupdates zu beziehen - wählt man aber die Funktion im Systemeinstellungsmenü aus, so erscheint auf dem Display "PC Wizard" und dann ist Schicht im Schacht - in diesem Fall hilft dann nur Stecker ziehen :/Beim Display selbst hätte ich mir eine andere Farbe als Orange für die Anzeige / Text gewünscht - ein schlichtes Weiß hättes es auch getan und würde auch zum Style des Geräts passen.Alles in allem bin ich aber mit der auna Harvard IR Anlage mächtig zufrieden und würde sie auch jedem, der genau wie ich gern alles in einem hätt, weiterempfehlen ;)
Since October, I've been back in my home office (this year has just been awful), and tinkering around on the dining table and chairs in the living room isn't a long-term solution (it's really hard on my back). So, I recently got my own room with (almost) everything I need for decent work. The only thing missing for my complete home office bliss was the right sound system – so I needed a suitable device. I spent what felt like a week searching for the perfect device, which practically had to be a jack-of-all-trades, because my requirements are quite high: the sound and radio reception had to be good, Bluetooth, USB port, CD player, internet radio, and ideally an SD card slot were all desirable. Visually, the device also had to look good, but not take up too much space, cost too much, or have too long a delivery time – once you've made up your mind, you want to own it yesterday. With the auna Harvard IR system, it was more like love at second sight – I had a different device before. I ordered a system that unfortunately wasn't quite what I was looking for, so the search for a new one began, and I decided on this sound marvel. I've been enjoying the auna system for a week now – it really delivers. The design and appearance are much nicer in person than in the pictures, and its size is perfect for my windowsill – the fact that the USB port is on the front is extremely convenient! The range of functions is truly impressive; almost all my requirements have been met – except for the SD card slot – but I can easily do without that ;) Setting up the device is quite quick. I connected it to my Wi-Fi using the WPS button, and then I had access to thousands of internet radio stations. If you want to save your favorites and don't want to cycle through each station individually with the remote, you can register your device on a dedicated website and easily browse the stations on your PC and mark them as favorites – this is then promptly transferred to the device – I love it! The sound is fantastic! Even at low volume, it's so powerful it'll knock you off your office chair that the door won't close - the bass is rich, the tones clear - and you can adjust the sound to your individual needs using the equalizer. The only slightly disappointing aspect is the X-Bass function – it makes the sound muffled and less bass-heavy than when the function is switched off – this is probably a bug. FM reception is rather poor for me – but that's likely due to the construction of my house and less to the device itself – but I can receive all my favorite stations via internet radio anyway. Bluetooth also works flawlessly – the sound when using my smartphone is slightly less impressive than with the other media options – at least as far as the tracks stored on my device are concerned. Streaming YouTube is a completely different story. The Harvard system is also perfect as an output device for a PC/laptop via Bluetooth – for example, for Teams meetings and similar applications – especially when the laptop speakers are so weak that you can't understand the other person in the virtual meeting even at 100% volume. It also plays CDs reliably – unfortunately, it doesn't seem to remember which track was last paused in standby mode. USB: this also works, although not all tracks on my USB drive are recognized. I played a fantastic 90s USB stick (in the car, and it's no problem with my device in the office) - that's a shame - I hope it can be fixed. Why am I deducting one star? Well, besides the minor issues with CD and USB playback mentioned above and the strange X-Bass function, the remote control is unfortunately not great - you have to press very hard to get a response, switching between the individual stations is very tedious - scrolling through the stations more quickly by holding down the corresponding button is not possible. The included instruction manual (which is no different from the online version) is also somewhat strangely structured - many functions and features are simply not explained and unfortunately not self-explanatory :( For example, I have absolutely no idea how to turn off the "energy saving mode" - if you pause CD/USB playback for a certain period of time (approx. 15 minutes), the device simply switches to standby. Theoretically, it should be possible to obtain software updates - if you select However, if the function is disabled in the system settings menu, "PC Wizard" appears on the display, and then that's it – in this case, the only solution is to unplug it. :/ Regarding the display itself, I would have preferred a different color than orange for the display/text – a simple white would have been sufficient and would also suit the style of the device. All in all, though, I am extremely satisfied with the auna Harvard IR system and would recommend it to anyone who, like me, prefers an all-in-one solution. ;)
